The weekend delivered some big moments in the form of some great goals, incredible tries, spectacular shots and some surprise wins, and we’ve wrapped up the five best right here:
Kurt Baker’s spectacular try-saver – Taranaki winger Kurt Baker pulled off a showstopping try-saving tackle on Auckland’s Joe Edwards.
Yoann Huget’s incredible try for Les Bleus – France winger Yoann Huget showed his immense acceleration and footwork to score against England.
Bolt’s 100m dash at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing – Usain Bolt produced perhaps his greatest performance of all as he put a troubled build-up behind him to beat two-time doper and clear favourite Justin Gatlin to retain his world 100m title.
Nasri’s skill against Everton – Manchester City star Samir Nasri showed his class against Everton in the Premier League encounter, scoring a brilliant goal which he constructed.
Narbonne’s emotional tribute to Jerry Collins – French Rugby team Narbonne (RCNM) paid an emotional tribute to their former teammate Jerry Collins and his wife Alana Madill at their season opener this weekend.
