New Zealand claims Wellington title – The All Blacks Sevens successfully held the fort at the Wellington Sevens, winning in the final moments in a climactic encounter with South Africa.
Fornaroli’s strike for Melbourne FC – Uruguyan football star Bruno Fornaroli scored a goal that looked like it came straight out of a game of FIFA on Playstation.
SBW delivers the goods – A big focus of the Wellington Sevens was the All Black Sevens debut of Sonny Bill Williams, and the big code-hopper delivered one of his trademark offloads to help his side defeat South Africa on Day 1.
Oscar’s hat-trick – Oscar scored a first-half hat-trick for Chelsea in their FA Cup fourth-round tie against Championship side MK Dons.
Carter’s first five-pointer – All Black flyhalf Daniel Carter made a memorable appearance for his French side Racing Metro, scoring his first try in his new colours.
