5 Biggest Sports Moments You May Have Missed
Missed out on some sporting action this weekend? We’ve got you covered with all the best bits right here.
Another weekend and another host of sporting moments that stunned, awed and dropped our jaws, and we’ve rounded up the best of the best:
Hurricanes continue to shine with length of the field try – Hurricanes’ Ardie Savea scored a brilliant length of the field team try against the Crusaders on Saturday with the help of some slick hands from the backline.
Jaco Kriel goes beast-mode against the Waratahs – the Lions, who were relegated in 2013 before returning to Super Rugby in 2014, have managed to achieve their most successful season in the union’s history after defeating the waratahs 27-23 in Johannesburg on Saturda, and young flanker Jaco Kriel was in a league of his own.
Messi scores on of his best – We’ve come to expect some incredible things from Lionel Messi, but the Barcelona star took it to another level against Athletic Bilbao, as he weaved his way through multiple defenders and scored one of his best goals in his career.
Rugby league try of the season? Brisbane Broncos Lachlan Maranta finishes off an incredible team-try that started off in his side’s own tryline.
Sanchez screamer – Alexis Sanchez played an important role in Arsenal’s FA Cup win over Aston Villa, as the Chilean scored a cracker of a goal from 20m out to contribute to his side’s 4-0 victory.

I’m not a fan of the Lions but they are having a cracker of a season so far.
