Fantastic performances, unexpected goals, and some brilliant rugby made for an incredibly entertaining weekend of sport. But with so many great moments, we decided to rank out top 5; so without further ado, here are our picks of the best sporting moments from the past weekend:

Owen Farrell’s break and pass for epic Saracens try – England flyhalf Owen Farrell showed his attacking prowess with a quick break through the Ulster defence to set-up Duncan Taylor for a try in the corner.

Earls’ speed against Stade Français – Irish winger Keith Earls made something out of nothing when he got the ball on his wing, cutting back inside and making a breathtaking 45m dash to the tryline.

Sangweni’s nutmeg – Chippa United’s Thamsanqa Sangweni welcomed Englishman James Keene to the diski carousel with a superb shibobo.

Rooney’s volley against Liverpool – Wayne Rooney looks back to his old goal-scoring form, adding another brilliant score to his tally against Liverpool.


England trump Proteas – England were able to seal a series victory by 7 wickets in Johannesburg, with Stuart Broad contributing massively to his team’s achievement.
