5 Movie Reboots Coming Your Way In 2015
2015 is looking to be the year of reboots, so MenStuff breaks down which projects are getting a makeover in Hollywood.
Hollywood seems a little tired of delivering sequels, so instead they’re bringing some reboots. There are a host of remakes, resurrections and reinvigorates of franchises and classics from yesteryear and there are quite a few heading our way shortly.
Check out the 5 movie reboots coming in 2015:
Point Break
December 2015
The cult-classic that is Point Break, starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze should not need a remake, but it’s getting one.
The new version is pressing ahead and Ericson Core is going to direct this time. He previously helmed the Mark Wahlberg-headlined Invincible, but he’s also earned his stripes for his cinematography, across features such as Daredevil and The Fast And The Furious.
Fantastic Four
August 2015
Fox has been incredibly quiet with the production of the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, which is strange given that the film is just a few short months away from release, until we got a teaser trailer.
Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters August 2015 and stars Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell, with Josh Trank directing.
Mad Max: Fury Road
May 2015
Mad Max: Fury Road is directed, produced and co-written by George Miller, and the fourth film of Miller’s Mad Max franchise. The first film of the franchise in 30 years, Fury Road features actor Tom Hardy as Mad Max, who is also joined by Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Hitman: Agent 47
August 2015
The first Hitman movie starring Timothy Olyphant wasn’t great, but it was far from anything to recommend. Well, director Aleksander Bach has decided to take a new crack at the iconic video game assassin in a new movie that stars Rupert Friend as the barcoded anti-hero head-basher.
The first trailer looks pretty impressive, and it’s clear that the heart and soul of the stylish killing and disguises are embedded within the flick.
Frankenstein
October 2015
James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in a new retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 classic, however, this time the film will centre around Dr. Frankenstein’s hunchbacked assistant, Igor (Radcliff).
