The rugby, cricket and football seasons are in full swing, and that means that the sporting fixture list is packed full of some epic encounters taking place over the next few days, and we got you covered with which clashes you’ve got to keep your eyes on.

Sharks vs Lions (Super Rugby)

Saturday, 19:10

The Sharks and Lions both suffered unlikely defeats in the first round of Super Rugby last weekend. The Sharks, uncharacteristically fell to a spirited Cheetahs side full of running prowess, while the Lions opted for playing extremely high-risk rugby against the Hurricanes which didn’t pay dividends.

Both will be looking to get their campaigns back on track with a healthy win, and the favour definitely falls the way of the Sharks, but Johan Ackermann’s Lions side have the ability, players and belief to cause an upset anywhere. Should be a cracker.

Stormers vs Blues (Super Rugby)

Saturday, 17:05

The Stormers will be packed full of confidence coming off a strong first round win at Loftus over the Bulls, and will face the Blues who will be making their first appearance this season.

The Cape side have made only one change, with Jurie van Vuuren coming into the No. 4 lock position, showing the continuity Allister Coetzee is trying to instill in his final season with the franchise.

South Africa vs India (ICC Cricket World Cup)

Sunday, 05:30

After getting their defense of the World Cup off to a perfect start by beating fierce rivals Pakistan in Adelaide, India face one of the favorites for the title, South Africa, at the famed Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

With a batting lineup led by De Villiers and Hashim Amla and a bowling attack spearheaded Dale Steyn, the Proteas are looking in good stead. But they also face the burden of trying to win the trophy for the first time, having previously succumbed to a number of spectacular failures in the latter stages. Their record against India at the World Cup is significantly healthier, however, having won all three of the countries’ previous meetings on the big stage.

Chelsea vs Burnley (English Premier League)

Saturday, 17:00

Jose Mourinho’s team have been arguebly the strongest team in the league this season, and the likes of Nemanja Matic, Thibault Courtois, Eden Hazard, and Diego Costa have been in sensational form and helped the side notch up 59 points from 29 games.

Chelsea will be looking to tighten their grip on the trophy when they face Burnley, who have showcased a lot of promise this season with some decent results against big teams, but unfortunately still looking as one of the favourites for relegation.

Southampton vs Liverpool (English Premier League)

Sunday, 18:15

The battle for fourth place heats up as Southampton play host to Liverpool on Sunday.

Southampton will look to continue their outstanding season and avenge their opening day loss at Liverpool. For Liverpool, the match is all about remaining in Champions League contention, and  Southampton will also need a win in this match to keep their Champions League march on track.
