This month’s game releases are sure to bring the heat, but which titles should you keep your eye on?
For gamers, the month of June is all about the world’s biggest gaming expo, E3, but June 2015 has a lot more in store as there are some massive game releases heading our way too. Among the releases, there are some new instalments for some well-received franchises, along with some interesting spin-off titles. So, without further ado, check out the 7 biggest games of June 2015:
Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited
9 July (PC)
Bethesda’s popular Elder Scrolls series makes its debut jump to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with The Elder Scrolls Online MMO. The game released on PC back in April 2014 and received mixed reviews from critics and fans. Zenimax took the fans and critics feedback on Elder Scrolls Online PC version and based on it made some massive improvements in the PS4/Xbox One version Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited,
As the name suggest, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is set in the continent of Tamriel and features a storyline indirectly connected with the other games. There will be a lot of character choices to be made beyond those of the race. Additionally, player character will have an option to become either a vampire or werewolf.
Lego Jurassic World
12 June (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, 3DS)
A weird combination, but nonetheless a great one. Lego and dinosaurs combine to form Lego Jurassic World, which is the latest Lego game based on the popular movie series. The game will have all the four plots of the Jurassic Park film franchise. The game will offer more than 100 playable characters (each having special powers), including 20 dino species and Mr. DNA, the famous cartoon character from the first movie. Additionally, players will have the option to create custom characters and dinosaurs.
Payday 2: Crimewave Edition
12 June (Xbox One, PS4)
If you’ve ever wanted to recreate Point Break or just bust into some banks, the squad crime shooter Payday 2 returns all wrapped up in a new Crimewave Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This remastered version of the game includes a ton of interesting features and add-ons from the last-gen version. According to the dev, PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition offers an ultimate Payday experience with graphical enhancements such as improved frame-rate and texture quality. The game offers four-player cooperative play, this makes the job of progressing better which results in more rewards. There is also a new character customisation and a crafting system that lets crews build and customise their own guns and gear.
Moto GP 15
19 June (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4)
MotoGP 15, the next major instalment in Milestone Studios’ motorcycle racing series, will release for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC this month. The game features a whole new level of rider customisation, an enhanced career mode and the entire 2015 season of the motorcycle world championship. MotoGP 15 will feature over 20 different bike models for players to choose from, as well as 40 liveries sporting an array of official color options. The appearance of the rider can be modified as well, allowing gamers to pick their own boots, gloves, and outfit.
Batman: Arkham Knight
23 June (PC, Xbox One, PS4)
Rocksteady has already made it clear that they want to end Batman Arkham video game franchise with a bang, and Batman: Arkham Knight seems to be well on track to achieve it. In this explosive finale, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. Leading the super villains roster is Scarecrow, who has Gotham city in a stranglehold.
For the very first time in the franchise history, Batmobile will be drivable in Batman: Arkham Knight. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition
23 June (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition brings the beloved 2008 hack-‘n-slash to current gen consoles and adds three new playable characters (Vergil, Trish, and Lady) to the roster. Each character brings a different skill set and weapon preference (Lady uses range attacks more, Vergil is close-quarters), which will provide some longevity to the remastered title, which, of course, also features enhanced visuals, frame-rate and menus.
Yoshi’s Woolly World
26 June (Wii U)
One of the most unique-looking games this month is Yoshi’s Woolly World on the Wii U. As the name suggests, the game is a new textile-themed game starring Mario’s dinosaur companion, Yoshi. Nintendo’s green buddy and his world are transformed into objects made of yarn, wool and more. Yoshi’s tongue interacts with the world, grabbing and unfurling the world’s fabric as he explores the landscape. Yoshi, who is made of yarn, will be able to transform into different things. The game will also include a two-player mode.
