Biggest Gaming Specials In SA This Weekend
Check out which console and game deals you should be taking note of this weekend?
The long weekend is finally upon us, and if the cold weather rolling into South Africa and some additional days off don’t scream “game time”, we don’t know what does.
Thankfully, there are some awesome gaming specials to keep us warm throughout the extended weekend period.
PS4 discount from Ster-Kinekor Entertainment
If purchasing a PS4 has been on your agenda for a while now, Ster Kinekor Entertainment, to celebrate the arrival of May, will drop the recommended retail price of the standard PlayStation 4 bundle to R5,299 for 72 hours starting on 1 May 2015.
“For a limited period of 72 hours, take advantage of this deal and grab the most powerful gaming system from your local participating retailer between the 1st and 3rd May 2015,” said Ster Kinekor.
Given the fact that PS4 consoles are still retailing for around R5,999 on most online and brick-and-mortar stores, it’s a pretty alluring deal saving R700.
Xbox One Sunset Overdrive console bundle special
If the massive PS4 discount was not enough to please local gamers this long weekend, Microsoft South Africa in conjunction with Prima Interactive has announced that the Xbox One Limited Edition bundle will be getting a special price too.
Over the Workers Day Weekend, the Xbox One Limited Edition Sunset Overdrive bundle at R5,299, reduced by R1,000 from the recommended retail price of R6,299.
The Xbox One Standard Edition will also see a price drop of R300 to R5999, with Forza Horizon 2 or Halo: The Master Chief Collection included as part of the bundle.

Sigh, Way isn’t The Evil Within on sale on Xbox One. Really want that game, but maybe it is a good thing. Allows me to work through my backlog a bit.

Ya, still priced above the R650 mark on Xbox One. Hopefully it drops in price a bit in the coming month!
