Biggest Gaming Specials In SA This Weekend

Finally, the weekend is here, and with it comes some gaming deals from local retailers, including some console, gaming and peripheral specials.

Here’s the best of the best this week:

Game specials (Game) – various prices

If you’re looking for the cheapest version of the promotional EA games, Game has rounded off the prices, saving you a few cents (hey, it’s still a few cents). Check out the prices below (games are available on both Xbox One and PS4, or Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively).

The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited and Blu-ray combo (CNA) – R799.90

The Elder Scrolls MMO has landed on current-gen consoles, and to celebrate, CNA is promoting the Xbox One and PS4 version (subtitled Tamriel Unlimited), and throwing in the Blu-ray movie of Centurion for R799.90.

Xbox One limited edition and Sunset Overdrive bundle (Takealot) – R6,199

The white limited edition Xbox One console is a thing of beauty, and Takealot has that and Insomniac’s crazy-shooter Sunset Overdrive all for R6,199.

Game specials (Musica) – various prices

Musica is running a promotion on a bunch of console and PC games. Some of the games, like Need for Speed Rivals, FIFA 14, and Battlefield 4 on both Xbox One and PS4 are priced at R249.95 each. Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag on PS4 and Xbox One are R399.95 each.

Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition PS4 bundle (Dion Wired) – R6,500

With the recent launch of Batman: Arkham Knight, Dion Wired has priced the limited edition silver Batman-branded PS4 console and controller (along with the game, obviously) at R6,500. These things are selling out fast, so jump on it if you’re a Batman fan.

Xbox One console (House & Home) – R5,789

House & Home’s Xbox One console deal doesn’t come with any extras, but it is the cheapest, making it worth a mention. The 500GB console and one controller is priced at R5,789.

PS3 and games bundle (Pick ‘n Pay) – R2,999

If you’re looking to pick up an older-gen console to enjoy the great library of PS3 games, Pick ‘n Pay has a super-slim PS3 on special for R2,999, which comes with Gran Turismo 5 and Minecraft.

BT Games Winter Sale (BT Games) – various prices

BT Games has launched its anticipated Winter Sale, cutting the price on console bundles, games and accessories. The promotions began last week, but some new games and accessories have been added.
