Biggest Gaming Specials In SA This Weekend

South African gamers will be glad to know that there are some incredible console and gaming deals to capitalise on.

Here’s the best of the best this weekend:

Game specials (Takealot) – various prices

Takealot has cut the price on a number of selected console and PC titles. Some of the notable deals include Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment (PS4) for R389, Knack (PS4) for R199, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (PC) for R25, and Resident Evil 6 (Xbox 360) for R97.

Super Mario Maker specials (Raru) – various prices

The recently-released Super Mario Maker has seen a price-cut from Raru. The standard Wii U edition (which includes an artbook) is priced at R399, while the version including the amiibo figurine is priced at R499.

PS4 standalone console special (Orange ZA) – R5,329

Orange’s online store has the standalone 500GB PS4 console priced at R5,329. It doesn’t come with any accompanying games, but it’s a solid price for the console.

PS4 and games bundle (Makro) – R5,999

Makro has a bundle for R5,999 which includes a 500GB PS4 console, one DualShock 4, and 2 games – you can pick between The Order: 1886 and Driveclub, or The Order: 1886 and The Last of Us: Remastered.

1TB PS4 bundle and games (Game) – R6,990

Game has a special on a new PS4 bundle, which includes the 1TB console, one DualShock 4 controller, and two games: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (essentially 3 games) and Call of Duty: Black Ops III, all for R6,990.

It’s also the last weekend of Musica’s gaming promotion, which sees some specials on Xbox 360 and PS3 titles. Musica is offering two selected games from the Xbox 360 or PS3 library for R500. Some of the standout titles include Far Cry 3, Crysis 2, Hitman: Absolution, Just Cause 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Sleeping Dogs, and Max Payne 3.
