Asus’ Game-Changing Zenbook Fold 17: SA Pricing & Details Revealed

Asus has announced the pricing and availability details for the innovative Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, which is the first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop.

The device is priced at R69,999 and will arrive in Q4 in South Africa. As for the key features, the Zenbook 17 Fold is essentially a 12.5-inch foldable OLED laptop which can open into a versatile 17.3-inch device, perfect for work, media viewing or other applications. It can be orientated in Desktop mode, Laptop mode (with Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop mode (with virtual keyboard), Tablet mode, Reader mode or Extended mode.

The device also features touch capabilities and includes Harman Kardon quad-speakers for better portable sound.

There are also a range of user-detection technology features, along with an HD IR camera, 5 MP AI webcam with ASUS 3DNR, auto screen brightness, and colour temperature settings.

Under the hood, the Zenbook Fold 17 features a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1250U CPU, 16 GBs of RAM, a 1TB PCIe SSD, Intel Iris Xe GPU, Intel WiFi 6E, a 75 Wh battery, and 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Included is the new Asus ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad that ensures comfortable, accurate typing, with a desktop-grade 19.05 mm key pitch and a long 1.4 mm travel on the dished mechanical keys.

The Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) will retail for R69,999 in South Africa. It will be available from Incredible Connection and online via the Asus online store. Local availability is expected in early Q4, but this is subject to change.
