Holiday Specials: Xiaomi Reveals Affordable Smartphone & Tech Deals

If you missed out on Black Friday deals, and are still in the market for a new smartphone, then don’t worry.

In order to thank its South African fans, who it greatly appreciates the support of, consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company Xiaomi has holiday deals with up to R1,000 off select smartphones. Deciding that the specials just shouldn’t end, and to give fans more time to get their hands on deals, Xiaomi will be running these until the end of December.

Among the best deals on offer is a brand-new Redmi A1, with 2 gigs of RAM, 32 gigs of storage, and a 5000 milliamp-hour battery, starting from only R1,699.

The mid-range king Redmi Note 11 Series devices are also part of Xiaomi’s holiday deals. Redmi Note 11 Pro’s standout features are its 108MP pro-grade main camera, 67W turbo charging, and 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay. Redmi Note 11 boasts a Snapdragon 680 power-efficient chipset, 90Hz FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay, and a long lasting 5,000mAh battery.

Other devices on special are very affordable models including Redmi 10A (with its 6.53-inch screen size and 5000mAh battery), Redmi 10C (boasting a 50MP main camera and 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM), and Redmi 10 2022 (with its 50MP quad camera setup and 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM).

For those with a bit more budget to play with, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is available for R1,000 off its usual retail price, for only R8,999. It boasts a 108MP triple camera array, 120Hz AMOLED display, and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM.

All these specials are available from Xiaomi’s retail partners including Ackermans, Dunns, Edgars, Game, Hi-Fi Corp, Incredible, Jet, Makro, Mr Price, Pep, Shoprite, TFG stores, Truworths, and Woolworths.

In addition, the two authorised Xiaomi Stores at Sandton City, Johannesburg and Canal Walk, Cape Town will be having their own holiday specials throughout December. These include up to 15% off select products, and free Redmi Buds 2 with every transaction over R2,500 (one product or cumulative). Both stores will also be holding a Christmas lucky draw to win a prize hamper valued at over R5,000. To enter, fans must simply visit either store and make a purchase.
