Honor X9a Launches in South Africa: Price, Details

Honor introduces its newest device to the South Africa market.

Honor has announced the launch of its next entry in the X Series of smartphones, the Honor X9a, in South Africa.

The device aims to bring some of the key features now associated with Honor phones, but at a more pocket-friendly price than top-end flagship options.

The Honor X9a features a high durability level, including reinforced glass with a thickness of 0.65mm (versus the 0.55mm industry standard) protecting the display.

The display itself features a refresh rate of 120Hz on its 6.67-inch 45-degree OLED curved screen. It carries a resolution of 2,400×1,080 and has a brightness of up to 800 nuts. It also includes enhanced eye comfort solutions such as the industry-leading 1920Hz PWM Dimming technology, a TÜV Rheinland certified display, and Eye Comfort Mode to alleviate eye strain and fatigue.

Specs & Camera

Specs-wise, the device features the Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, Adreno 619 GPU, 8GBs of RAM, 256GBs of storage, and a Triple Rear Camera, comprising of a 64MP Main Camera (F1.8), 5MP Ultra Wide & Depth Camera (F2.2), and 2MP Macro Camera (f2.4).

The Honor X9a also features a 5100mAh battery packed in its compact body, and with its 40W SuperCharge feature and just 30 minutes of charging, the device can deliver up to 12.5 hours of use.

Price and availability

The Honor X9a (256GB version) will be available in South Africa at Telkom starting from 1 February 2023 at R11,999 and from 7 February 2023 at Vodacom. The available colours are Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black.
