Playstation 5: Price & Release Date Revealed

Sony has unveiled the pricing and availability details of the upcoming Playstation 5 console.

Announced via the Playstation Showcase online event, the company confirmed that the standard PS5 model will retail for $499.99, while the digital-only discless version will cost $399.99. Playstation South Africa has confirmed that the console will retail for R11,999 locally, with the digital version costing R9,999.

• Playstation 5 standard edition – R11,999 ($499 RRP in the US)
• Playstation 5 Digital-Only Discless model – R9,999 ($399 RRP in the US)

Playstation also confirmed that both iterations of the PS5 will launch on 19 November 2020.
