SA’s Internet Map Unveiled

An interactive display map of South Africa’s internet landscape has been created – and it’s pretty neat.

Created by Marius Hollenbach, the map shows a number of SA’s sites as circles – the bigger the circle, the more traffic the site receives.

The websites are also divided into the specific categories which they fall under, such as news, sport, entertainment and technology.

The sites’ numbers are pulled from Effective Measure statistics, so some sites may not be included due to them not being on Effective Measure.

The map provides a pretty interesting look  into the layout and key players in the online media of South Africa.
