Should You Buy an iPhone 12 in 2023?
Is purchasing an iPhone 12 in 2023 a good idea?
There seems to be a stigma around buying ‘older’ tech given the fact that it’s, well, older. But the reality is that smartphones and devices from yesteryear are very-much still very worthwhile purchases, especially given how each iteration of said device is becoming better and better.
The iPhone 12 is an incredibly popular phone, and even though it was released back in October 2020, it still makes for a fantastic purchase (even a refurbished one), and there are a few reasons why.
Specs-wise, the iPhone 12 features a 6.1 Super Retina XDR screen, A14 Bionic chipset, 4GBs of RAM, and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage options.
On top of that, you get a dual 12MP camera (wide and ultra-wide lenses) and a 2,815 mAh, which isn’t the biggest around, but does the job.
Of course, with the iPhone 12 range, Apple also released three other models in addition to the base model: the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. They all feature essentially the same key features, but all have a few differentiating characteristics. For example, the iPhone 12 mini is smaller and lighter in size, which is good if you’re looking for the smallest iPhone. On the other hand, if you’re looking for the biggest iPhone, the iPhone 12 Pro Max with its 6.7-inch display is the model you should be considering.
The most notable ‘upgrade’ from the base model and Mini to the others is the addition of a telephoto camera lens on the Pro and Pro Max, making for a more flexible camera set-up for the higher-end versions.
So, should you buy an iPhone 12?
The iPhone 12 still makes a great purchase, and given the price-drop in the last few years, it’s arguably an even better buy now than it was on launch. For your money, you get a 5G smartphone, HDR display, MagSafe charging, and a camera that still performs really well.If you’re looking for the best deals on pre-loved iPhone 12s (saving you even more money), check out Mobitronics, who stock pre-loved and refurbished iPhones that have been quality checked, reset, and ready for a new home.
