The Super-Affordable Nokia 2 Has Arrived in South Africa

Combining usability with longevity, the Nokia 2 has finally made its way to our shores, which is looking to be a good option for those looking for an affordable device.

With a price tag of R1,699 and some solid features, the Nokia 2 is set to be a tough contender in the entry-level smartphone market, but what makes it really unique is its high-capacity 4100mAh battery that the company is touting last a solid two days.

Aside from the impressive battery, the Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC (quad-core, clocked up to 1.2GHz) coupled with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

Other impressive features include a sleek, precision-made aluminium frame with Corning Gorilla Glass and a sculpted polycarbonate on the back, an 8MP rear camera with automatic scene detection and autofocus, a 5MP front camera and extra memory capacity with a dedicated card slot and unlimited photo and video uploads to Google Photos. Additional Android features include Google Assistant, monthly Nokia 2 security updates and enabled with Android Nougat and Oreo ready.

The Nokia 2 is available in South Africa through leading retailers nationwide for R1,699.
