5 Games to Consider on Cyber Monday
If there’s anything left in your wallet…

Cyber Monday does provide gamers the opportunity to capitalise on some notable deals, and with the past year or so delivering some great gaming titles, there are some under-appreciated games worth considering for your shopping cart.
Sniper Elite 4
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
Sniper Elite 4 delivers the most well-rounded and ambitious Sniper Elite experience to date. The sharpshooting franchise has taken a major step forward by expanding the size of the levels (which, along the Italian peninsula, are gorgeous), giving players the biggest playground of long-range death-dealing they could ask for. It’s a tightly coordinated game, but one which gives you the feeling of freedom to how you approach the open-ended missions. Despite the odd graphical clipping, it’s also an extremely pretty title and showcases the attention to details that Rebellion pay, and the X-Ray death cams are as brutal and satisfying as ever. The best Sniper Elite game to date and a must-play for any WWII fan.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
If Just Cause, The Division, and Far Cry had some sort of weird super-baby, it would be Wildlands. Yes, this is a Ghost Recon game, but it’s a stripped-down, gritty version of the tactical shooter that delivers something familiar yet refreshing to the franchise. It was somewhat overlooked due to the busy period of released in Q1, but it’s a solid action title that’s well worth the reduced price.

Mafia 3
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
Mafia III is one of the unsung heroes of 2016 – being an incredible action experience, but one which released alongside some much “bigger” games (*cough* Battlefield 1 *cough*). Mafia III tells the story of Lincoln Clay, who has just returned from the Vietnam War. He’s taken in by the “Black Mob”, but just as he starts to believe he’s found somewhere he can belong, the Italian Mob wipes them out. Clay vows to have his revenge – and that’s when the car chases, shady dealings, and bloody gunfights kick off. The game is absolutely spectacular in motion and the 1968 New Orleans cityscape is a refreshing setting for the chaos that you can unleash in Mafia 3.

Dishonored 2
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
The first Dishonored opened the world of supernatural assassinations to gamers and the sequel is set to take it to new heights. Players will be able to choose between playing as Corvo or his daughter Emily in this slick-looking follow-up which takes place in the coastal city of Karnaca rather than the grimy streets of Dunwall. Players can also use a variety of new supernatural powers to hunt down their targets, but it’s also said that the game can be finished without taking a life.

The Evil Within 2
Available on: Xbox One, PS4, PC
The Evil Within was a surprise hit when it released in 2014, and the follow-up expands on the somewhat linear, survival-horror formula by throwing players into bigger environments and trickier enemies, while refining the stuff controls from the first game. The story, as is with most of Mikami’s games, is a bit all over the place, but does manage to come together when things start wrapping up. For fans of Resident Evil 4, Dead Space or The Last of Us, this is a great addition to your nightmare fuel.
