Forza‘s more arcade-centric spin-off returns for another dash around the track, as Forza Horizon 4 brings with it a massive, new open-world, over 450 vehicles, gorgeous visuals, and a new seasonal weather mode, which will open up new areas on the map and change the terrain, based on the current climate. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Release date: 5 October 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

The next entry in Ubisoft’s beloved stab-’em-up franchise takes players to the oldest period of the series so far, playing as ancient assassin Alexios or Kassandra in 431 BC. It’s more of what we’ve come to love from the series, but it’s also clear that Odyssey will be more in line with the previous title, Origins, and is the most RPG-focused Assassin’s Creed game to date. Along with a deeper story and combat mechanics, the game also features interactive dialogue trees and the chance to participate in massive battles of up to 300 soldiers.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Release date: 12 October 2018 (Xbox One | PS4 | PC)

Call of Duty fans are in for some more classic CoD action when Black Ops 4 hits shelves this month, but this time around, there won’t be a single-player campaign to distract you from the multiplayer component. While that does leave less modes to explore, it only means that a serious focus has been placed on the online elements of the game, bringing enhancements to the fan-favourite multiplayer modes, a revamped Zombies portion, and a battle royale-inspired match-type called Blackout which brings together 100 players to duke it out.
