Need a gaming experience for the weekend that won’t break the bank? Check out our list…

Gaming can be an expensive hobby these days, but MenStuff is here to help you find some digital adventures that aren’t too hefty on your wallet.
Check out 5 great games you can buy for under R300:
Wolfenstein: The New Order (Xbox One / PS4)
Brutal, fast, and unforgivingly tough, Wolfenstein: The New Order is a faithful reboot of the classic granddaddy of first-person shooters. The franchise takes a leap into an alternate history timeline where the Nazi regime now rules over the whole of Europe, and its up to BJ Blazkowicz to, well… kill them all. The game is jam-packed with powerful assault rifles, shotguns and experimental Nazi laser weapons, so if you’re looking for a vicious FPS fight against robot Nazis, check out Wolfenstein: The New Order.
Wolfestein: The New Order is available for R259 on PS4 from Raru and R299 on Xbox One from Makro.
Shadow Warrior (Xbox One) – R176
Shadow Warrior is bold reimagining of 3D Realms’ cult classic shooter. Blending the violent over-the-top gunplay of its predecessor with the elegant precision of the powerful katana, Shadow Warrior is an imaginative take on the classic arcade-style shooter while still managing to keep its tongue firmly planted in the cheek. It delivers blood, action, and a lot of one-liners, and best of all, it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Shadow Warrior is available for R176 from Raru.
The Wolf Among Us (Xbox One / PS4)
The Wolf Among Us is a highly-praised episodic graphic adventure game based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comic book series. Playing out in the same vain of classic point-and-click adventures, The Wolf Among Us throws players into the shoes of Bigby Wolf, who can move about the environment and examine and interact with other characters or objects. Similar to Telltale’s previous game, The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us allows players to make choices through conversation trees that will influence future events in the story and the way the game plays out. These include major decisions, such as deciding which of two culprits to chase after while allowing the other to go free.
The Wolf Among Us is available for R278 on Xbox One and R284 on PS4 from Takealot.
Dishonored – Definitive Edition (PS4)
Dishonored: Definitive Edition is a steal, giving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners a bundle including Arkane’s stealth-action game and all its DLC for a cool price. Dishonored remains one of the best stealth games of the last generation. The main story along with the inclusion of all of the add-ons can offer up to 30 hours of utterly satisfying gameplay. Combined with the improved visuals, the city of Dunwall deserves everyone’s attention.
Dishonored – Definitive Edition is available for R289 on PS4 from Loot.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Xbox One)
Konami’s massive tactical espionage action game from 2015 is arguably one of the best games ever made, and while it does detour quite a bit from its predecessors, the level of detail and freedom it gives the players is unparalleled. Featuring a compelling (and admittedly convoluted) story, amazing stealth elements, intense action, a long campaign, and breathtaking visuals, The Phantom Pain is the culmination of all Metal Gear Solid games to date.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available for download from the Xbox One store for R249.
Sunset Overdrive (Xbox One)
Coming from the minds behind Ratchet & Clank and Resistance, we knew Sunset Overdrive was going to bring the noise. The explosive and stylised world of Sunset City may be overrun with mutant zombies, but its fun gameplay mechanics and forward-thinking story push it beyond the usual run-‘n-gun scenario. The complex upgrade system and punchy punk soundtrack only upped the ante. The only thing comparable it to is a Tony Hawk Pro Skater game… with guns and monsters.
Sunset Overdrive is available for R299 from Loot.
The Order: 1886 (PS4)
Easily the most beautiful on the game on the Playstation 4 (so far), The Order: 1886 is a breathtaking technical marvel from developer Ready at Dawn. It’s short, very short, but given the impeccable level of detail, it’s understandable. The Order not only features spectacular visuals, but it also has some fun gunplay, unique weapons, and an interesting story. It’s definitely worth a playthrough if you can find a good deal.
The Order is available for R299 from Makro.
