The gaming release schedule is steaming ahead, and March brings with it some interesting releases, including a racing veteran, returning sweaty superstar, and some sequels deserving of some extra attention. Check out the 7 biggest game releases of March 2022:

Elex 2

Release date: 1 March 2022 (PS5 | Xbox Series X/S | PS4 | Xbox One | PC)

2017’s under-the-radar action/RPG Elex was a great foray into the genre, but was a little rough around the edges. The sequel arrives in March and brings in some refined gameplay mechanics, a more detailed world, and some classic RPG elements that fans of older games in the genre will appreciate. The mix of sci-fi and old-school fantasy is a fascinating setting, and we can’t wait to see what Elex 2 has in store.

Shadow Warrior 3

Release date: 1 March 2022 (PS4 | Xbox One | PC)

The rebooted Shadow Warrior series hasn’t received the praise it deserves, but hopefully, with the franchise getting its slick-looking third instalment in March, now is the time for Shadow Warrior 3 to shine. The game once again brings frantic gunplay and sword-slicing action as you hack and shoot your way through some truly demonic monstrosities. Add in some fantastic free-running abilities to bound off walls and scale structures and you’ve got yourself one of the most action-packed shooters arriving in 2022.

Babylon’s Fall

Release date: 3 March 2022 (PS4 | PS5 | PC)

Babylon’s Fall is a brand new take on Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising developer Platinum Games’ critically-acclaimed signature combat. In this cooperative action RPG, you take on the role of a Sentinel, once conscripted prisoners of the Empire who are granted unrivalled powers by a parasitic device implanted to their back. The game does focus on cooperative play, allowing you to team up with up to 3 fellow players to reclaim the Tower of Babel.

Gran Turismo 7

Release date: 4 March 2022 (PS5 | PS4)

It’s been a while since we’ve had a Gran Turismo game, but the Playstation 5 will bring back the beloved simulation series in stunning detail and breathtakingly nuanced visuals. Expect tons of cars, tracks, and the most meticulous of customisation options in what should be a love-letter to fans of the series.

WWE 2K22

Release date: 11 March 2022 (PS5 | Xbox Series X/S | PS4 | Xbox One | PC)

There’s no denying it: WWE 2K20 wasn’t up to the standards we hoped for from the long-running wrestling series, but thankfully, 2K and Visual Concepts listened to the fans, acknowledged the shortcomings, and have done some serious overhauling for WWE 2K22, which is now looking like an absolute contender for the title. A new engine, better visuals, improved physics, a bigger roster, and a new MyFaction mode, which lets you create your own team of WWE superstars to take on the nWo.

Ghostwire Tokyo

Release date: 25 March 2022 (PS5 | PC)

Tango Gameworks, the studio that was behind The Evil Within series, will see its next game, Tokyo Ghostwire, launch in March. It’s a first-person supernatural action-horror game set in Japan that sees players having to harness a wealth of powers in order to deal with the invading evil forces. It looks weird, mysterious, and should provide some mind-bending moments that only Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and his team know how to deliver.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Release date: 11 March 2022 (PS5 | Xbox Series X/S | PS4 | Xbox One | PC)

A spin-off of Gearbox’s beloved Borderlands franchise, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is another over-the-top first-person shooter full of guns, great humour, and some outlandish bad guys to dispose of. The game allows you to evolve your own multiclass hero, rack up some serious loot, and shoot your way through colourful and crazy hordes as you venture off to stop the Dragon Lord.
