Assassin’s Creed: Mirage Revealed — First Trailer, Screenshots Unveiled
Here’s what you need to know about the next Assassin’s Creed game.
At the 15 Years of Assassin’s Creed event held by Ubisoft this past weekend, the French studio showcased the first official trailer and screenshots of the next Assassin’s Creed game, titled Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage which takes place in ninth-century Baghdad and centres on the coming-of-age story of Basim Ibn Is’haq, the Hidden One who appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla twenty years later.
Being set two decades before Valhalla, the game then follows a younger, 17-year-old street Basim (now voiced by Lee Majdoub), who is also struggling with nightmarish visions, and his introduction to the Hidden Ones, the precursor organisation to the Brotherhood of Assassins.
The game will be somewhat of a throwback to the classic gameplay of older Assassin’s Creed games, with a focus on story, assassination missions, and parkour, with less emphasis on RPG mechanics and XP building.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Amazon Luna, and will also be available on PC with a Ubisoft+ subscription. Check out some of the screenshots below:
