Battlefield 2042 Revealed, First Trailer Released

A brand-new Battlefield entry has been unveiled, with EA and Dice introducing gamers to Battlefield 2042, set in a near-future world transformed by ecological disasters and disorder.

Besides the reveal trailer (which you can watch above), not too much is known, but the game will feature 128-player multiplayer matches on PC and Xbox Series X|S and PS5, but will cater for 64 players on PS4 and Xbox One.

The exciting twist this time around is that players will have to survive unexpected environmental disasters that are integrated into matches. These include sandstorms, tornadoes, and more.

We’ll get our first look at actual gameplay on 13 June.

Battlefield 2042 will launch on 22 October 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
