Cyberpunk 2077: Where’s the Cheapest Place to Buy?
Where can you find the best pre-order price for CD Projekt Red’s big action-RPG?
It’s a big week for gaming releases, as we’re finally getting a title that most gamers have been waiting at least a few years for. CD Projekt RED, the guys behind The Witcher 3, are dropping Cyberpunk 2077, the neo-future shoot-’em-up RPG which looks breathtakingly beautiful, brutal, and set to push the industry forward. But, before you grab the first copy you see, where is the cheapest place to buy Cyberpunk 2077 in SA?
Keep in mind that while Cyberpunk 2077 is available on current and next-gen consoles, if you buy Cyberpunk 2077 for previous-gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4) you will still receive the eventual next-gen updates. CD Projekt Red has already confirmed that you’ll be able to upgrade the PS4/Xbox One editions of the game to their next-gen equivalents at no extra cost.
Below are the prices for the standard edition of the game:
Physical:
- Loot: R1079 (Xbox One & PS4) | R760 (PC)
- BT Games: R1,099 (Xbox One & PS4) | R865 (PC)
- Takealot: R1,199 (Xbox One & PS4) | R899 (PC)
- Raru: R1,199 (Xbox One & PS4) | R899 (PC)
- Game4U: R1,079 (Xbox One & PS4)
- ZAPA: R1,199.95 (PS4)
Digital:

- Playstation Store: R1,099
- Steam: R799
Cyberpunk 2077 hits stores and digital outlets on 10 Decemmber 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
For those who might not know, the game takes a somewhat similar set-up to The Witcher series, throwing you in a dense, open-world full of missions and things to do; but this time around, you’ll have to battle your way through maniacal robots, augmented humans, and all kinds of weird, futuristic monstrosities. It looks to be incredibly deep with some interesting RPG mechanics, but the gorgeous gunfights and a compelling story are the real attraction here.
