If you’re a fan of hack-‘n-slash action, you know that the long-awaited Devil May Cry 5 is now available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC! The legendary demon-hunter Dante, along with Nero and new comrade V, are back for some more gunning, slashing, and one-liners; and we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.

What’s it about?

The game picks up a few years after the events of Devil May Cry 4, where a mysterious man known as “V” comes to the Devil May Cry office to hire Dante (a veteran demon-hunter with a cheeky attitude) to solve a series of demon attacks occurring across the world.

Do you need to have played the previous games?

Not necessarily. Of course, if your’e a longtime fan, you’ll enjoy a lot of the background and appreciate the nuances of each character, but if you’re a newcomer to the franchise, this is a great jumping on point, with new characters, combat systems and visuals for a whole new era of DMC.

What kind of games could you compare Devil May Cry to?

If you enjoy the likes of God of War, Darksiders, and Ninja Gaiden, you’ll enjoy DMC 5. It’s fast, frantic, and includes one of the slickest combat systems in gaming.
