While the E3 gaming expo has been rather unusual, with no physical conferences taking place, the big publications and console manufacturers haven’t held back on delivering some huge announcements and amazing trailers. With all the incoming reveals, it’s hard to keep up with what’s what, so check out some of the biggest and best announcements from E3 2021:

Battlefield 2042

We got a cinematic-style trailer for the game last week, but we now have our first good look at gameplay for the upcoming near-future Battlefield 2042. The trailer shows a huge online battle housing 128 players, and jumps perspectives between a few different soldiers. You get to see some tank gameplay, on-foot gunning, helicopter battles, and the environmental storms that players will have to contend with too.

Battlefield 2142 is coming to Xbox Series X, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC on 22 October 2021.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel’s Avengers perhaps didn’t hit the heights Square Enix had hoped it to, and while it did lack a bit of content, what was there was an interesting take on everyone’s most beloved Marvel superheroes and a fun action game to boot! Square Enix is expanding its Marvel universe in the gaming world with a single-player Guardians of the Galaxy game. The reveal trailer gave us a look at the character designs and gameplay, which shares many similarities with Avengers.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is coming 26 October 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Forza Horizon 5

We knew it was coming, and Microsoft officially unveiled a new entry into their more fun, open-world Forza spin-off series, Forza Horizon. The reveal included a deep look into the gameplay of Forza Horizon 5, along with the new Mexico setting and photo-realistic environments that you’ll be racing through.

Forza Horizon 5 is set for launch on 9 November for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Redfall

Arkane (who were behind the Dishonored and Prey series) announced Redfall, a new open-world co-op shooter revolving around vampire hunters. Redfall sees you and a team of friends partner up to take down vampires in a small town in Massachusetts. We didn’t get a look at actual gameplay, but the CGI trailer showed the hunters using normal weaponry and supernatural powers to best the blood-suckers.

Redfall will launch exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC in Summer 2022.

Far Cry 6

After getting a glimpse of the game recently, we now have even more gameplay to enjoy from Far Cry 6. The new trailer showed off some more story details, guns, as well as some of the colourful characters you’ll be interacting with on your journey throughout the game.

Far Cry 6 launches on 7 October 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC.
