Gamescom 2019: New Gears 5, NFS Heat, Avengers & More Gameplay Videos
Here’s some brand new footage from some of the biggest upcoming games.

Over in the land of delicious beer and giant sausages, a giant video game expo is currently taking place, and you know what that means? New gameplay videos!
Ahhh, Gamescom – Germany’s E3 (of sorts) is here and already delivering the big game announcements, news, and trailers, and we’ve already got some brand-spanking new footage from the likes of Gears of War 5, Need for Speed Heat, FIFA 20, and a whole lot more. Check out some of the videos below:
Gears of War 5
We’ve seen a fair bit of Gears of War 5 (which is seemingly just being called Gears 5) since its reveal, but while we’ve been given some footage of the new multiplayer modes, we haven’t seen much around the single-player campaign. Well, this new trailer gives some snippets of the chaos Kait, Marcus and the rest of the Gears will have to fight through in order to get to the bottom of Kait’s mysterious connection to the Locust.

Need for Speed Heat
Need for Speed Heat was announced last week, but now we’ve got a really comprehensive look at what the latest NFS racer from Ghost Games will entail, including the cars, customisation options, and world of Palm City.

Disintegration
Coming from one of the creators of the original Halo, Disintegration is a new sci-fi game which features both single-player and multiplayer elements, allowing you to pilot a Gravcycle over a battlefield, and command your troops on the ground. It looks like a strategy and shooter hybrid, with a bit of Halo and Titanfall thrown in for good measure. Disintegration will be available in 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Little Nightmares II
One of the most under-appreciated games of 2017 was that of Little Nightmares, and a sequel was revealed at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event. The new trailer showcases that players will have the ability to fight back against the grotesque enemies in the game (rather than just running away), as well as the inclusion of co-op.
Marvel’s Avengers
E3 2019 gave us a closer-look at Square Enix’s much-anticipated Avengers game, but we’ve now got a more unedited look at the combat in the game thanks to a new trailer.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Nintendo Switch
One of the best games ever made, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is finally making its way to Nintendo’s Switch; and while it will feature a noticeable graphical downgrade, Nintendo fans will appreciate that CD Projekt RED managed to get their open-world epic to run on the portable console.

FIFA 20 – Volta
For the most part, we always know what to expect from FIFA, but this year, there’s arguably the most unique mode that’s been added in years: Volta. Essentially a 5-a-side mode akin to the FIFA Street titles of yesteryear, EA Sport decided to bundle this beloved spin-off gameplay style unto their main FIFA franchise. We got a closer-look at it at the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom 2019.
