Biggest Gaming Specials in SA this Weekend

The weekend has arrived, and with it comes some new gaming specials for local console and PC fans to enjoy. We’ve scoured the local online and brick-and-mortar retailers to hunt down the very best deals available… because saving money while still gaming is pretty cool.

Loot’s Hot Deals

Loot has slapped some of the biggest games on the market with some promotional prices as part of their Hot Deals category. Among the specials is Doom (PS4) for R290, Darksiders II – Deathinitive Edition (PS4) for R259 and For Honor (Xbox One and PS4) for R590 each. The recently released Prey is also on special for PS4 and priced at R399. The deals are valid until Tuesday night.

Sony has announced a huge sale going down on the Playstation Store known as the Big in Japan promotion, which, as you can gather, is a special on games developed by Japanese studios.

Capcom, Konami, and Square Enix are just some of the big studios who have included their games in the promotion, which sees the likes of Final Fantasy XV (R469), Resident Evil 7 (R599), Metal Gear Solid V (R205), Dark Souls III (R399), and Street Fighter V (R329), among others, being discounted on PS4.

There’s also a wealth of PS3 games on sale, and if you’re a PS Vita fan, you can pick up Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, World of Final Fantasy, Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers, Toukiden 2, Dragon Quest Builders and more on sale.

Xbox

The Xbox Deals with Gold specials include discounts on Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom (R299.50), Dragon Ball Xenoverse (R164.70), Syberia 3 (R384.30), and Worms Anniversary Edition (R315.75). Check out all the deals here.

Steam’s weekly sale includes special prices on Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 & more.
