New Rugby Video Game Confirmed By The ARU

Exciting news for gamers and rugby fans alike, as the news of a new rugby game begins to build momentum.

After yesterday’s news that a new rugby game was in the works, the Australian Rugby Union has confirmed that a new title is indeed in the pipeline and that they’re backing it wholeheartedly.

Answering an email question from rugby gaming YouTuber The ScottishCannon, the ARU said that they are in fact involved in an in-development rugby game and that the union wants to ensure that it’s the “best rugby game available”.  The email response is below:

Peter Watkins’ email reply regarding a question if there are any plans for future rugby games associating the ARU.

So, what does this mean? Well, the ARU looks to be referring to a rugby game that isn’t associated with the Rugby World Cup, which falls under the World Rugby’s jurisdiction, so to speak. So will we be seeing a Rugby World Cup 2015 video game from someone and another game of some sorts which the unions are now backing? Time will tell…
