Here are the biggest game announcements from Sony’s Playstation 5 event!
At Sony’s big PS5 reveal event, a number of big-name studios unveiled upcoming titles for the Playstation 5 console, including notable sequels, surprise follow-ups, and new indie IPs. With that said though, we’ve rounded up the biggest and most notable announcements that you can’t afford to miss out on:
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Release date: Late 2020
A brief CGI/in-game trailer revealed that an expansion to 2018’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games’ in in fact in the works. Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which will com bundled with a remastered version of the main game, will let players will take control of the other primary character in the Spider-Man universe as he takes on new foes and challenges. The game will launch in ‘Holiday 2020’

Resident Evil 8: Village
Release date: Late 2021
Leaks ahead of the Playstation 5 event were correct, as the eight primary instalment of Resident Evil was revealed. Titled Resident Evil: Village, the sequel brings back the first-person perspective, RE7 protagonist Ethan, and shifts the action to a bizarre European village.

Gran Turismo 7
Release date: TBC
It’s been a while since we’ve had a Gran Turismo game, but a Playstation hardware reveal wouldn’t be the same without a new GT titles to go with it. Gran Turismo 7 will bring back the beloved simulation series in stunning detail and breathtakingly nuanced visuals.

Horizon 2: Forbidden West
Release date: TBC
Guerilla Games revealed a sequel to their 2017 super-hit Horizon: Zero Dawn, which will pick up on Aloy’s story as she continues to resurrect a derelict Earth following a cataclysmic event. Expect more robot-dinosaur hunting, a massive open-world, and new gameplay mechanics.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Release date: TBC
The Ratchet & Clank series’ brilliant 2016 reboot is set for a follow-up with Rift Apart. Playing on the idea of multiple-dimensions, the game will incorporate portals and dimension-jumps into the already-whacky action/platforming gameplay.

Hitman 3
Release date: January 2021
The third and final instalment in the current Hitman series is set for a PS5 debut, which will see Agent 47 take on his most dangerous and personal mission to date. The game will leverage the new PS5 hardware to throw players into bigger levels with more details and ways to eliminate 47’s unsuspecting targets.

Little Devil Inside
Little Devil Inside is an action-adventure RPG with survival elements set in an atmospheric, semi-open world. Alongside an unmistakably adorable art-style, the trailer reveals new scenes, monsters and glimpses of gameplay in various environments.
