Rage 2 Gameplay Trailer Unveiled
It’s as if Doom, Just Cause, and Borderlands had a baby.

Those fans who played id Software’s 2011 shooter Rage will remember a great FPS experience full of potential and possibilities, but one that had a few shortcomings due to the lack of multiplayer and a few technical bugs. Well, Bethesda and id are having another shot at the post-apocalyptic action franchise after announcing Rage will be getting a sequel.
Rage 2 will be a jointly-developed venture between id Software and Avalanche Studios, who are behind the Just Cause franchise and 2015’s under-appreciated Mad Max.
Here’s the official announcement:
“In Rage 2, you’ll dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. The game brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world mayhem and id Software, gods of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage.”
The time-period of the game will take place 50 years after the first title’s 2135 setting, where “ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule who remains with an iron fist.”
Players will take control of Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland, who was robbed of his home and left for dead,so, as you could imagine, he’s pissed. Players will fight their way through the wasteland battling mutated tribes to find the tools and tech needed to take the fight to The Authority and crush their oppressive rule once and for all.
Rage 2 will arrive on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, but no release date has been given as of yet.
