Rugby 15 – screenshots released, cover art teased
Developers givea small tease of what’s to come with the incoming next-gen rugby outing.

HB Studios and Big Ben Interactive have teased the cover art of their upcoming Rugby 15 video game, along with the release of two work-in-progress screenshots.
The box art itself has been blurred, not exactly showing who is on the cover, however, it’s likely that they’re stars from the Aviva Premiership and/or the French Top 14 – two top leagues that the developers have managed to secure licences for.
The developers also said in a tweet that more of the game will be showcased at this year’s Gamescom convention, taking place from the 13-17 of August in Cologne, Germany.
With regards to the two screenshots released, they are said to be images from the alpha version of the game, which means that it’s still pretty deep in development and they’re not accurate of the final version of the game.
The first screenshot features two teams which appear to be Munster and Racing Métro, while the second screenshot shows two teams which are difficult to identify.
Rugby 15 is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and PC.
The game will be the first next generation Rugby title from the Canadian-based studio, which previously created Rugby World Cup 2011 and Rugby 08.
“With this new sport simulation we are pursuing our strategy of moving upmarket with strong licences and quality partnerships, as with HB Studios,” declared Alain Falc, CEO of Bigben Interactive. ”Today it gives us great pleasure to announce the very first rugby game on new generation consoles with the TOP 14 and the PRO D2, thanks to the support of the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (French Rugby Association). We are certain that fans of the sport will enjoy it!”
The game will feature teams from the 2014/2015 season.
