Rugby Challenge 4

Rugby Challenge 4 has been officially announced by Sidhe and Tru Blu Entertainment, scheduled for a release in December 2019 on Xbox One, PS4, PC; with a Switch release scheduled for a later date.

The game will follow-on from the work done on Rugby Challenge 3, which we reviewed upon release, saying: “Rugby Challenge 3 relies on the foundation built by the first two games in the Rugby Challenge franchise, and refines the experience rather than redesigns it; and while it has some cracks here and there, it’s easily the best rugby game since the holy-grail that was Rugby 08.”

Rugby Challenge 4, however, will include some new features and enhanced gameplay from the previous release, including improved solo and multiplayer modes, a Create a Pro mode which will allow players to climb through the ranks, and a revamped Career Mode.

New visual effects ranging from dynamic lighting, weather and field wear have also been included, and set-plays will make an appearance for the first-time in the franchise, allowing players to choose from a variety of tactics for added strategy on the field.

Sidhe has confirmed that 300 licensed players will feature in the game, with photorealistic likenesses from over 25 licensed teams.

From the official website, it’s confirmed that the Wallabies and All Blacks will be licensed in the game, with more licensing details to be announced soon.
