Wicked Witch and Tru Blu have released a new image for the upcoming Rugby Challenge 4, featuring some high-res shots of some player models from the game.

Posted on the Rugby Challenge Facebook page, the new image shows three England players, namely Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, and Tom Curry, showing off the level of likenesses in the game.

This is the first image we’ve seen from the developers in quite some time, as the game was delayed from its initial December 2019 release to a yet-to-be-announced date in 2020.

The delay announcement seems somewhat expected, as very little information on the game has been posted since its initial reveal, causing many to suspect that development on the game is still underway.

As for what we do know, Rugby Challenge 4, will include some new features and enhanced gameplay from the previous release, including improved solo and multiplayer modes, a Create a Pro mode which will allow players to climb through the ranks, and a revamped Career Mode.

New visual effects ranging from dynamic lighting, weather and field wear have also been included, and set-plays will make an appearance for the first-time in the franchise, allowing players to choose from a variety of tactics for added strategy on the field.

Sidhe has confirmed that 300 licensed players will feature in the game, with photorealistic likenesses from over 25 licensed teams.

From the official website, it’s confirmed that the Wallabies, All Blacks, Springboks, and England will all be licensed in the game, with more licensing details to be announced soon.
