See What Went Down At The ‘Dying Light’ Launch In South Africa [Video]
Dying Light is one of the biggest games of the year and it just launched in SA. Watch what happened ahead of the big launch party…
WB Games and Techland’s zombie-parkour-survival mash-up is now available in physical and digital format for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in South Africa, and to celebrate it’s launch, Ster-Kinekor Entertainment through a little party, along with spending some time freaking people out with some real-life zombies.
The game itself puts players in the middle of a vicious outbreak, where you’ll have to traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by zombies, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light.
MenStuff was lucky enough to review the game ahead of it’s physical launch. We liked it a lot:
“Dying Light may look like an idea cashing in on a few popular cultural phenomenons, but it’s actually one of the most interesting, well-designed and unique experiences seen on the current generation of consoles.” – Jeremy Proome

It’s really cool that they went out and did this. It reminds me of when Sterkinekor used to hold those game testing events back in the day.
