Adidas’ Predator boot silo has been one that has undergone some serious changes in the past couple of years. Traditionally a leather boot with grip elements to assist with shooting, and a fold-over tongue, the boot has gone through a metamorphosis, with some more radical designs being implemented, most notably on the Predator Freak, Predator Edge, and Predator Accuracy.

However, Adidas seems to be shifting back to a more traditional style of Predator boot with the yet-to-be-officially-revealed 2024 Predator.

As reported by Footy Headlines, some boot-sleuths have spotted prototype Predators on some of Adidas’ most well-known athletes as they train, with Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale wearing the laced version, while Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen donned a pair of the laceless model.

Furthermore, a prototype model seems to have found its way into the hands of boot collector Bootsclean 14, who gave us a good look at the unreleased entry via Intagram.

These are of course still prototype models, which is common for brands to send out to players and key ambassadors in order to get some final feedback and tweaks ahead of the actual launch. But, from the designs so far, we can see the classic Predator stripes on the lateral side, grip elements on the medial side, and a foldover tongue on the laced version.

The new Adidas Predator, which is rumoured to simply be called ‘Predator’ with no sub-name, is set for a launch in early 2024.
