Adidas X Crazyfast Boots Revealed: SA Pricing, Details
Adidas revamps its speed boot for the incoming season.
Adidas has announced the next edition of its X speed boot range, the Crazyfast, which have launched in South Africa.
The new boots launch in three distinct models – ‘P+’ and ‘P1 Laced and Laceless’. However, a few things have changed from the normal naming conventions and categories that these boots usually fall into.
Whereas previously, the ‘+’ model was the top-tier, laceless model, the P+ model is now a laced version which features a tongue. The P1 laced and laceless are therefore similar versions but lack the tongue construction and opt for a knitted collar.
Both of the ‘P1’ models boast what Adidas calls the ‘Aerocage’ innovation – an engineered lining designed to provide support and stability by hugging the mid-foot, and a single layer of breathable monomesh which provides comfort throughout the foot and offers a second skin feel.
The P+ features the same, but is a little bit lighterr than the P1 and P1 laceless model thanks to the materials being moulded together.
Soleplate
The soleplate remains similar to the X Speedportal which preceded it, and features Adidas’ Speedframe technology, getting your foot in a more sprint-style position. The update includes a replacement of the previous carbon version with a new Aeroplate insert that makes the overall plate 5g lighter.
Launch colourway
The X Crazyfast boot comes in an elegant and minimalistic white and lucid lemon colourway, and the P+ will be worn by some of the best female football players at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, its first major competition appearance on pitch.
