After a long wait and a lengthy voting process to decide which local spots made it on the board, the South African version of the worldwide popular board game was officially revealed by Hasbro last month. If you’ve ever fancied owning a piece of the Kruger Park or daydreamed of building a hotel on Cape Town’s Boulders Beach, then this new version of Monopoly, which showcases local attractions and city highlights, will bring you hours of fun.

The special localised Mzansi edition features 4 transport hubs and 22 landmarks including Sandton Gautrain station, V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Addo Elephant Park, Florida Road, uShaka Marine World and many more. The final locations that made it on board truly represent South Africa’s rich cultural diversity and natural beauty and there is also a strong link to Madiba’s legacy with the inclusion of Vilakazi Street and Robben Island.
