The warmer weather across South Africa and the new incoming season bring an opportunity to do a little audit on your style, grooming regime, and skin; and we’ve highlighted three new products to give your daily routine a bit of a boost.

Mercedes Benz Club Black

Price: R1,695 from DisChem

Mercedes Benz has been delivering some great fragrances in recent seasons, but one of the brand’s classics, Club Black, is back with a new twist. Club Black was crafted by master perfumer Olivier Crisp, and boasts bergamot for its high-energy radiance, incense and vanilla heart notes for their warmth, and jasmine for its subtle lightness. This powerful fragrance features an exquisite woody-amber scent and comes packaged in a slick, iconic three-pronged Mercedes Benz bottle.

Dermalogica Daily Milkfoliant

Price: R1,4339 from Woolworths

For those who want some light exfoliation to boost your skin’s radiance, but don’t want anything too aggressive, Dermalogica’s calming oat-based powder exfoliant provides a peaceful way to exfoliate, smoothing and soothing the skin. As a daily-use product, the blend of coconut milk and oat polishes and reveals more vibrant skin whilst supporting the skin’s moisture barrier. Without microfoliation, skin can be dull looking and rough feeling. Daily Milkfoliant relieves skin with calming and soothing ingredients.

HVIQAN Colour Corrector Purple Teeth Whitening Foam

Price: R199 from OneDayOnly

So, the verdict is still out on whether purple toothpaste and foams help remove stains, but the science seems to back up the idea that it can help their appearance. For those who haven’t heard, purple toothpaste uses colour theory to neutralise yellow teeth by applying purple dye to the teeth, giving the illusion of a whiter smile. HVIQAN’s whitening foam is squeezed onto your toothbrush like normal toothpaste, and used as a replacement. The effect is slight, gradual, and temporary, but there’s definitely a whiter ‘sheen’ to one’s teeth following use.
