A Huge LEGO Store Has Opened in Cape Town!

Great news for parents and big kids in Cape Town, the Mother City finally has its own dedicated Lego! After much success in Joburg, the Great Yellow Brick Co, South African licence-holders of the Lego certified store concept, has finally decided to open a Lego store in the Cape. The huge Lego store opened its doors in Century City’s Canal Walk Shopping Centre on 28 September 2019, and is sure to be a big hit with Capetonians looking for a unique shopping experience.

While Lego products are available at independent toy retailers elsewhere in South Africa, Lego-certified stores stock and display a variety of Lego options, some previously not available to South African shoppers. The Lego store offers shoppers exciting installations, exclusive and extended sets, and experiences that are not available in other toy stores and retail inventories.

Shoppers can look forward to exciting Lego installations in-store including a custom-built Pick A Brick Wall enabling customers to buy individual Lego bricks and elements priced per cup; Build a Minifigure Station; augmented reality screen to enable shoppers to visualise the contents of box sets before they purchase; a Cape Town Lego mosaic; and special build areas to encourage fans to unleash their imaginations.
