AndBam Review: An All-in-One Skincare Solution for Those Who Need a Little ‘More’

South African company AndBam has been doing some great things helping men with hair loss since the company launched, and the brand has now added a host of skincare products to its offerings, giving simple and easy-to-use options to help one look after their skin better.

While most men are happy to grab whatever is at eye-level at the grocery store and smear it on their faces, we should probably be a lot more conscious about what we’re putting on our skin, if we want to get the most out of it down the line.

That’s why the AndBam range makes use of salicylic acid, ferulic acid, ATP and niacinamide, and slow-release retinol across the products to deliver a comprehensive skincare regime. We won’t bore you with the chemistry specifics, but these are essentially the big-name fighters against bacteria, dirty pores, and ageing, while also promoting collagen production and general moisturising.

The Daily Moisturiser is basically the working ant of the line-up, and can be your go-to for everyday scenarios while offering a whole lot more than most generic face creams. It’s ultra-light and non-greasy, so you don’t get any of that thick, white cream stuck in your eyebrows and stubble, and the powerful antioxidants and fast-absorbing ingredients make it blend into your skin in seconds, while leaving that moisturised glow. It does feature a smokey, oaky, and sandalwood scent, which is noticeable, so maybe suss out if that’s your cup of tea beforehand.

Moisturising for the day is great, but the guys out there need to also remember that the night is when your skin has a chance to regenerate and heal. Using a night serum is a good idea, and the AndBam serum is a great option.

It’s a concentrated lightweight formula that will protect your face from premature wear and tear. Featuring Ferulic acid, ATP and niacinamide to provide overnight nourishment and moisture, you simply use the night serum in very specific regions around the upper cheek and more sensitive areas. This should only be used once every couple of days, though, as the retinol in the serum does tend to make the user’s skin far more sensitive to the sun for a day or so afterwards.
