Cape Town Festival Of Beer Details Announced

The Cape Town Festival of Beer is heading back to its stomping ground in the Mother City. Taking place at Hamiltons Rugby Club from the 28-30 of November, Cape Town will once again see over 200 beers on show, live bands, beer tours, craft beer brewing demonstrations, and much more.

Early Bird tickets for the event are available from Webtickets for R150 and includes an official Festival of Beer glass and unlimited free tastings all weekend long.

The last weekend of September saw the Joburg Festival of Beer, in all its golden glory, take over Pirates Sports Club for the second year. The event saw thousands of beer aficionados and beer-drinking enthusiasts come together to get a taste of the best brews across SA and abroad. 

The brewers brought their best brews forward for judging in what has become the most comprehensive beer judging competition in the Southern Hemisphere, with the results speaking for themselves. With over 60 brews entered the respective winners to walk away with the glory were:

• Best Macrobrewed Ale – La Chouffe
• Best Microbrewed Ale – Devils Peak Kings Blockhouse IPA
• Best Microbrewed Lager – Jack Black Lager
• Best in Show – Cape Brewing Co Krystal Weiss
