Cricut has partnered with PinkDrive South Africa for the PinkTober campaign in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness. From 1st until 31st October 2024, the campaign encourages creatives to participate by making PinkTober-themed Cricut projects in Design Space, donating to the PinkDrive cause, buying raffle tickets or donating upcycled furniture to local CANSA centres.

On average, breast cancer affects 1 out of 26 women in South Africa. This means that many women have been affected, either with a diagnosis or supporting someone who has been diagnosed. “We know that it is something that is very close to the hearts of millions of members in the Cricut community which is why we’re pledging $1,000 and aiming to raise an additional $1,000 with your involvement during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, or Pink October,” said Cricut.

Ways you can get involved in the PinkTober Campaign:

  • Create your Cricut PinkTober project in Design Space and make it public (using #CricutPinkToberMETA so your project can be counted toward the donations tally)
  • Make your PinkTober project using Cricut and share your pictures and videos on Instagram and Facebook using #PinkOctoberWithCricutSA and #CricutPinkToberMETA and tag @Cricut_SA to raise awareness
  • If you are making and selling items using Cricut, you can consider donating a portion of your income to the cause, which you can find out more about here.
  • Make a direct donation to the campaign here.
  • Enter the raffle to win a 1.4m Cricut Cutie – follow the link here.
  • Make to Donate: upcycle furniture or make items using your Cricut to donate to a CANSA centre countrywide.
