Newly-launched South African skincare range In-Between is focused on formulating locally-manufactured, eco-friendly skincare products that make moisturising, cleaning, and protecting simple and easy, and that’s always something that we can get behind.

In-Between is unashamedly targetting the breakout-prone Gen Z-ers, but anyone with skin (so, anyone) would appreciate and benefit from what In-Between is delivering with its range.

So, what makes them special? The products feature the innovative Penta Fruit AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids), a group of non-toxic botanical extracts that deliver five natural AHAs to the skin — Lactic (from Bilberry), Glycolic (from Sugar Cane), Citric (from Orange and Lemon) and Malic and Tartaric (from Sugar Maple) to increase cellular turnover for smoother, healthier and more radiant skin.

The products in the range are even numbered (so you honestly can’t go wrong), and designed to make a good skincare routine simple. They include:

Cleanser

In-Between’s cleanse with Penta Fruit AHA helps to deliver a deep clean and exfoliate the skin. While it does aim to exfoliate, this gentle cleanser is for sensitive and breakout-prone skin, so it’s got a very smooth texture and isn’t abrasive or overwhelming for your skin at all. It’s got a subtle floral scent, and contains five botanical extracts with naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids to deep cleanse without over-drying the skin. The deep cleanse helps to prevent pimples by removing excess oil and surface build-up, and unclogging congested pores.

A 50ml bottle of the cleanse is priced at R170 or 100ml for R265. You can check it out on the In-Between online store.

Balance – skin preparation and balancing spray

If you need a little something in between your washing and moisturising, or just a rejuvenating option in between daily grooming sessions, the balancing mist-spray is an interesting addition to anyone’s regime. It contains witch hazel with naturally occurring anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties, which also helps tightens pores, absorbs oil and fights the signs of aging. The anti-microbial properties of tannins can reduce bacteria growth on the skin and reduce irritation when breakouts occur. It’s incredibly refreshing and gives your skin a satisfying tingle before moisturising.

A 50ml bottle of the Balance is priced at R200 or 100ml for R310. You can check it out on the In-Between online store.

Moisturise

Of course, the crème de la crème of your grooming routine should always be your moisturising regime, and In-Between’s Moisture with Penta Fruit AHA makes it an easy process, while still feeling luxurious. This moisturiser is for all skin types but also contains specific ingredients for breakout prone skin. It contains five botanical extracts with naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids that increase the rate of cell renewal. This helps with pigmentation, and promotes smoother, brighter skin. The botanicals also help to control oily, breakout prone skin. It’s really smooth, absorbs into the skin easily, and has a great scent to it. We love that you can just rub in any excess creme onto your skin and feel it soak in, rather than having to wash your hands.

A 50ml bottle of the Moisturise is priced at R210 or 100ml for R350. You can check it out on the In-Between online store.

The range is available as a set of three. The launch price of the set is R520 for the 50ml range and R800 for the 100ml range.

And a bonus feature is that all the packaging is sustainably sourced and recyclable, and the range is developed taking costs into account to deliver on affordability.

In-Between Skin Routine is available from In-Between’s online store.
