Kurt Coleman’s 5 Top Summer Hangout Spots For Summer!
The Stormers playmaker shares his favourite spots for some summer downtime!
The festive season may have just passed, and people are heading back to work, but that doesn’t mean your weekends shouldn’t be filled with adventure and what better way to get the weekend started than with a trip to your local hangout spot for a summer cocktail or a quick catchup with friends.
We caught up with Stormers star, Kurt Coleman, and asked him for his top 5 spots to visit this season – we’d say he’s a pretty reliable source being a resident of the Mother City for many years.
1. Hayashi Sushi Restaurant
“I honestly think they have the best sushi in Cape Town. It’s a little sushi restaurant in Stellenbosch with the best sushi and very affordable prices! Try it for yourself, you’ll absolutely agree with me!”
2. Beach day out at Camps Bay
“This is the best spot for a tan and a nice dip in cold water and has the best places for drinks along the beach front.”
3. Nederburg Wine Farm
“Nederburg offers a fun and insightful wine tasting experience like no other. It is a quite day trip out into the beautiful valley of Paarl. One will receive a tour of the state-of-the-art cellar and Old Cellar Museum and/or taste our award-winning wines under the guidance of our knowledgeable staff in their comfortable and modern Visitors’ Centre.”
4. Lions Head
“Lions Head is always a goodie! What’s a weekend in CT without a trip up Lions Head. Gather your friends for a group outing and spend the morning climbing one of CT’s landmarks. The initial climb is quite demanding but once you start climbing, it’s smooth sailing and you won’t regret it when you get to the top and take in the view!”
5. Shimmy Beach
“With the likes of DJ Sox and DJ Black Coffee performing this summer, it’s going to be the best place to let your hair!”
