Sun Bike Park Brings Thrilling Pump Track Action to Sun City

Adrenalin junkies rejoice, Sun City resort has recently launched Sun Bike Park, an asphalt pump track for all your skateboard, mountain and dirt bike, and in-line skate needs. Not only is the track suitable for older kids and adults, but there is also a separate kids’ track for push bikes, making the park entirely family friendly!

Built with an asphalt surface, the track is safer and easier to ride on, and users can either hire a bike or bring their own. According to the bike park, beginners are welcomed in the facility, however, the main pump track requires moderate ability to navigate. Professionals will enjoy the 360º bowl on the south side of the track, which is a fun feature that allows riders to change direction quickly.

Located on an extremely steep slope behind Sun City’s Valley of Waves, the park was reportedly difficult to plan and construct with a team of over 50 people, however, it exceeded expectations and turned out incredibly.

The entrance cost to the Sun Bike Park is R80 for a full-day pass for adults and R40 for a full-day child pass (kids under six). An extensive range of rental bikes are on offer from between R150 to R350 for a full-day pass, including a protective helmet.
