The Beer Revolution is Here — This is How to Get Involved
South African beer-lovers are ready – are you?

What’s better than beer? Dinosaurs, maybe. But they’re not around anymore, so not much, to be fair. So, beer is pretty great, but there’s definitely room for improvement regarding how we get access to the delicious nectar of the gods.
Some clever locals have taken it upon themselves to kickstart a new beer revolution that will see us beer-lovers getting the biggest bang for our buck when we decide to wet our whistles.
EZ Growler are launching in SA, bringing something new to the market with their stainless steel and glass beer growlers and filling stations. What is a growler exactly? Simply put, a beer growler is a container or vessel that is used for the transport of beer. It can also be described as an air-tight jug that allows you to take draught beer from one place to another without a degradation of quality. And they’re awesome!
So after getting your hands on one of their robust and handy growlers, you can pop to your local bottle store to one of EZ Growler’s new filling stations to top up your 2L or 4L growler with the very-best local craft beers, and then pay per litre, rather than a premium when buying bottles or cans. We did a little calculation and, by our back-of-the-napkin mathematics, it works out to around R60 a litre! Winning!
You can check out some of the features of the 4L and 2L growlers below:
EZ Growler plans to have many filling stations popping up around the country within the next couple months, but the first will be active by Saturday (3 September) at Norman Goodfellows in Illovo, Johannesburg.
The beers on tap that will be available include Darling Brewery’s Bone Crusher, Garagist’s Tears of the Hipster Pale Ale, and Mad Giant Brewer’s Guzzler Pilsner.
The EZ Growler will be available in store, as well as on EZ Growlers’ online store (to be launched soon), but if you’re interested in the beer revolution about to hit SA, get down to Norman Goodfellows in Illovo and check it out!
“Like” EZ Growler on Facebook to keep up to date with prices, details, and more! EZ Growler’s online store is also coming soon, so you’ll be able your growlers online and have them delivered right to your door!
And if you’re hosting an event or a private function, EZ Growler also cater for exactly that, proving rentals for growlers, customised branding on growlers and to draught their craft by selecting from their favourite beers available.
