This Is How A Man-Makeover Can Change Your Look

I recently conducted a few male makeovers in the Kurt Geiger store in Sandton City to demonstrate the difference the right clothing can make to a man’s look.

This is Tumelo’s makeover:

His build:

He is a rectangle shape, which means that his shoulders and hips are a similar width. The aim is to give his shape definition by making his shoulders appear wider and his hips look smaller proportionally.

While his slim leg jeans work well for him, the baggy jersey makes Tumelo look more shapeless that he is

What I did for Tumelo’s makeover and why:

• The jersey with the collar detail creates the illusion that his shoulders are broader than they are.
• The fit of the jersey makes his waist and hips look smaller than his shoulders proportionally.
• The slim leg trousers also work to create the illusion that his shoulders are wider in comparison and gives his shape balance.
