UberXL Helps Get Your Mates To The Party In Style
Uber delivers a super-sized transport option for larger groups.
The days of doing a headcount of your mates and trying to work out how many taxis you need to go are no more.
Uber has announced the UberXL option, which adds bigger cars to their fleet, allowing you to look too-legit-too-quit when arriving at the planned party/get-together destination, as opposed to creased clothes from your cronies sitting on your lap.
The new low-cost six-seater option on the popular transport app will send a Toyota Avanza or equivalent to pick up your group of friends.
And the rates? Still super affordable, with the price being R7/km, R0.70 a minute, with a base fare of R20 and minimum fare of R30, so it won’t break the bank. And the fact that you can fair-split with your friends only adds to the value.

The pricing is outstanding. Taxis in Johannesburg are outrageously expensive. The prices rose in 2010 which is understandible but then continued to rise to some pretty high fees.
