Woman Crush Wednesday: Liezel van der Westhuizen

She goes by the nickname Giraffe, and has a popular blog called ‘Giraffe in the City’ – but to us, she’s that fun, energetic and sporty TV icon that’s stolen our hearts over the past few years!

She’s graced many magazines, and is known for her adventure style and even more enthusiastic hairstyles! When she’s not on radio, attending events, or shooting for magazines, she’s out and about cycling and enjoying her new hobby of roller-skating.

We caught up with the trend-setting radio presenter and showcase her as our Woman Crush Wednesday!

Sunset beach picnic.

Justin Bieber – obsessed with his hair styles.

What do you look for in a man?
A confident well-groomed man with a great sense of humour.

When you were little you wanted to be?
Believe it or not, a vet. I love animals!

Your biggest relationship deal breaker (or turn off) is?
A man who lacks sense of humour.

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?
Stand Up Paddle boarding is so much fun!

Best surprise gift you ever received from your partner or a loved one?
A special spotting scope!

If you could instantly download a special skills or super powers like an app what would they be?
Ability to speak every language on the planet!

Right now, what are you completely obsessed with?
My hair colour, and changing the colour every week. I am obsessed with creative colours. Already been purple and blue this year. Next month I might go green.

What are you most looking forward to this year?
I am going to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to enjoy Mountain Gorilla Tracking.

What can’t you live without?
Daily licks from my pup.

Catherine and Prince William.

Are you a Wine, champagne or a cocktail kinda girl? I am an MCC Girl, I have also been the Master of Ceremonies at the Amorim Cork MCC awards In Cape Town on two occasions.
